The 2023/24 Premier League season will kick off on Friday, August 11, and end on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The first fixture of the season will be between defending champions Manchester City and newly-promoted side Burnley on Friday, August 11 at Turf Moor. This will be a reunion of Pep Guardiola and his former player and captain Vincent Kompany.
Kompany led Burnley to Premier League promotion after winning the Sky Bet Championship last week.
We expect nothing but entertainment in this tie. Burnley played some great football in the Championship last season but Pep Guardiola is known not to show mercy to his friends if they are on the opposing end of the fixture.
2022/24 runners-up Arsenal open the season at home against Nottingham Forest, Newcastle play Aston Villa, and Tottenham’s first match of the season will be a London derby against Brentford at the Community Stadium.
Manchester United will play on Monday Night under the floodlights against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
