Arsenal are making the trip to Leicester City to play The Foxes this evening looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points as the other title contender Manchester City play later tonight.
The Gunners showed how much they want the trophy last week when they twice came from behind to beat Aston Villa, and it is the fourth time they did that this season.
For the trip to Leicester City, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in a pre-match press conference said that his team is much more confident than they were against Aston Villa having lost three consecutive matches in all competitions prior the Villa game.
“Much better, much more positive. The confidence is much better, and the environment around training is much better.
“The fact that the team showed the capacity to rebuild in a really adverse situation, when you are 2-1 down and you’ve played less than 72 hours before and everyone is expecting you to be tired mentally in terms of quality and belief, to come back and win the game is a really big boost for us.”
When asked about what he expects from today’s opponents, Arteta highlighted the fact that the Foxes have been consistent in the past few games but also said that his team has prepared well for whatever Brendan Rogers’ men will come up at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester, who currently sit 14th on the table have been terrible at home, collecting only 12 points from 11 matches and today’s fixture might not be any easy, as they are facing Arsenal who have collected the most points away from home (28), seven more than any other team this season.
