Arsenal were the biggest winners at the London Football awards that were held last night at Roundhouse in Camden, London. Arsenal players and manager won in every category they were nominated in to cement their dominance on and off the pitch this season.
Mikel Arteta won the Manager of the Year award as a reward for guiding The Gunners to the top of the Premier League table, and five points clear with 11 matches to go.
Arsenal are also in the last 16 of the Europa League. Mikel beat competition from Richie Wellens (Leyton Orient), Emma Hayes (Chelsea Women), Thomas Frank (Brentford) and Marco Silva (Fulham).
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard won the Premier League Player of the Year award beating teammate Bukayo Saka, as well as Ivan Toney (Brentford), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham). The Norwegian has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in the Premier League so far.
Saka did not leave empty-handed, as he left the evening with the Premier League Young Player of the year award. The 21-year-old England international beat teammates Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba, as well as Michael Olise (Crystal Palace) and Billy Mitchell (Millwall). Saka has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League so far.
Aaron Ramsdale was also awarded for those brilliant saves he has been making for the Gunners with the Goalkeeper of the Year award. Ramsdale won this over David Raya (Brentford), former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno (Fulham), Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea) and Laurence Vigouroux (Leyton Orient). Ramsadale has kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League so far.
