Both La Liga top two sides, Barcelona and Real Madrid will start their 2023/24 La Liga campaigns away from home.
Barcelona will travel to Getafe while Real Madrid will face Athletic Club, also on the road.
This was revealed on Thursday morning after the LaLiga fixture list was published at the Spanish football federation headquarters in Las Rozas.
The season will get underway on the weekend of August 13 and conclude on May 26, 2024.
Most matches will be played on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with some rounds being played in midweek. Kickoff times will be chosen by LaLiga at a later date.
Still on the opening weekend, Atletico Madrid – who finished third on the log last season, will host Granada while Real Sociedad will play newly promoted Girona.
The first El Classico of the season will take place on Matchday 11 in Barcelona on the weekend of October 29, with the return fixture in Madrid taking place on the weekend of April 21.
Ths first Madrid derby will be hosted by Atletico on the weekend of September 24, with the return game at the Bernabeu being played on the weekend of February 4.
Madrid has won the most La Liga title (35), followed by reigning defending champions Barcelona at 27.
