Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane is facing backlash and hash treatment for his actions last week.
The Senegal international lost his temper in the dressing room and punched teammate Leroy Sane and broke his lip after the 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal at the Etihad Stadium.
After the incident, Bayern Munich suspended Mane for one game and more than £250,000 for the incident. Mane returned to training this week after serving his suspension but reports coming from Germany say that his teammates have kept a considerable distance from him.
Sky Germany also reports that Sadio Mane could be sold in the summer with new manager Thomas Tuchel reluctant to work him in the next season. Sadio Mane was a darling at Liverpool where he spent six years and won everything but made the switch to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last summer.
He started well in Germany, scoring six goals in 14 Bundesliga matches, but an injury he suffered in November last year that kept him out of the World Cup and several months on the sidelines until his return in February has not done him any good.
He has struggled to regain his rhythm and this is probably why he let out his frustration to Sane, in a fight that had other teammates jump in to separate the pair.
Bayern Munich play Manchester City in the return leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match and it is unclear whether Mane will play, let alone be included in the match squad.
