Arsenal Star boy Bukayo Saka is set to smile to the bank in a new proposed contract that will see him become the best-paid player at Arsenal.

The 21-year-old has been improving season after season since making his Arsenal first-team debut on November 29, 2018. He has taken his game up a notch this season after becoming the first player to register double-figure goals and assists (12, 10) in the Premier League.

Arsenal are set to reward Saka for his hard work and on-pitch heroics with a new long-term contract worth £300,000 per week which translates into £15 million annually.

The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table with 10 matches remaining and a fit in-form Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s title charge this season.

It is understood that Saka, who joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy aged just seven, already agreed to sign a contract extension at the club that will make him one of the biggest earners in the club history.

However, it will be a little bit less than Mesut Ozil’s £350,000 per week salary the German took when he extended his in January 2018.

There has been interest for the England international from a host of clubs including Manchester City monitoring his future, but Arsenal are confident he will put pen to paper to join other players like Brazilian duo Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes who have already signed contract extensions this season.

Saka’s current contract is set to expire in June next year.
