Bayern Munich, Bayern Leverkusen and Borrusia Dortmund continued their impressive runs in the Bundesliga by securing vital victories on Match Day eight over the weekend.
Julian Brandt scored the lone goal in the second half to help Dortmund defeat Werder Bremen at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday.
Dortmund moved temporarily top of the Bundesliga log (20 points) with that goal, but on Saturday, they returned to their fourth position after Leverkusen, VFB Stuggart and Bayern won their games.
Bayern Leverkusen overcame Wolfsburg 2-1 away from home courtesy of Jeremy Frimpong and Alex Grimaldo’s goals to reclaim their top position with 22 points.
Second place VFB Stuggart defeated Union Berlin 3-0 with Serhou Guirassy, Silas and Denis Undav on target.
While Bayern also did the same by beating Mainz O5 3-1 away from home. To achieve this victory, Kingsley Coman scored his third goal in two games, while Harry Kane and Leon Goretzka also got on target.
After the weekend fixtures, Dortmund, Bayern and Leverkusen all extend their unbeaten starts to 2023/24 Bundesliga season to eight games.
