Both Bayern Munich and Borrusia Dortmund failed to win over the weekend as the Bundesliga continued with the match day 28 fixtures.

Dortmund squandered a three-goal lead late on to draw with 10-man Stuttgart while Bayern played out a 1-all draw with Hoffenheim.

Starting with the game at Allianz Arena, Hoffenheim forward Andrej Kramaric struck a beautiful freekick to cancel our Benjamin Pavard’s opening goal for Bayern and consequently handed the Bavarians a decisive blow in title race

But Dortmund wasted a great chance to move level with Bayern after they failed to make the most of their two-goals against Stuttgart that played the most part of the game with 10-men.

Sebastian Haller fired Dortmund ahead in the 26th minute before Donyell Malen making it 2-0 less than ten minutes later.

Stuttgart then had Konstantinos Mavropanos sent off for a second bookable offense in the 39th minute.

Despite playing with a man less, Stuttgart pulled a goal back in the 78th minute through Tanguy Coulibaly, and six minutes later, they equalised following Josha Vagnoman goal.

Substitute Gio Reyna then struck for Dortmund in the injury time to temporarily put them level with Bayern, but there was still time for Silas Katompa Mvumpa to score for Stuttgart for the game to end level at 3-3.

Dortmund remain two points behind Bayern with six games left.

Union Berlin in third, also failed to beat VFL Bochum in order to close onto the gap with the top two.

Bochum’s Kevin Stoger netted from the spot to cancel out Josip Juranovic opener for Union. While Leipzig held on to beat Augsburg 3-2 after Timo Werner double.

Schalke thumped their relegation fellows Hertha Berlin 5-2 while Eintracht Frankfurt and Borrusia Mönchengladbach drew 1-1.

The German Bundesliga will continue on Friday this week as Augsburg takes on Stuttgart. On Saturday, Bayern will travel to Mainz while Dortmund will host Frankfurt.
