With the new season only days away from start, Chelsea Football Club have announced the players squad numbers.
Five of the seven new signings have all been assigned shirt numbers ahead of the Blue’s first game of the season against Liverpool this weekend.
Christopher Nkunku will don on shirt number 18, Nicholas Jackson will have 15 on his back while Axel Disasi and Robert Sanchez have been given numbers 2 and 31 respectively.
Young Midfielders Andrey Santos and Lesley Ogochukwu have taken numbers 20 and 16 respectively, while Malo Gusto, who joined the club from Lyon will wear 27.
Having returned from loan, Levi Colwill has taken John Terry’s iconic number 26 and will hope to replicate the legend.
Other changes see Enzo Fernandez take the number 8 jersey, Mykhailo Murdyk wear number 10 while Raheem Sterling will wear number 7.
The trio of Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hodson Odoi have all not been handed shirt numbers and will now look elsewhere for playing opportunities.
