Chelsea were held to a goalless draw in the Premier League by Bournemouth on the South Coast.
Despite hitting the woodwork and creating several other good goal scoring chances, Chelsea settled for a point at Vitality Stadium.
Nicholas Jackson and Raheem Sterling were denied by the frame of the goal, while Neto made good saves to deny Conor Gallagher, Levi Colwill and substitute Cole Palmer.
When Colwill got the ball past Neto and into his back of the net, his goal was ruled out for offside by the lines-man.
Apart from Neto, the Bournemouth defense was also brilliant on the day as they restricted Jackson from making his runs behind, and also made last-ditch tackles to deny Palmer and Ian Maatsen when he came on.
Playing on a counter-attack for most of the time, the Cherries also had opportunities of their own to win the game, but were denied by Robert Sanchez, who made sublime saves in each half to ensure his side didn’t concede.
The Spanish spread himself to deny Dango Ouattara from point-blank range in the first half, before keeping out Dominic Solanke’s shot with his legs as the game was approaching an end.
With just a point collected, Blue’s frustrations continue mounting as they have now collected just five points in as many games to see them drop to 14th.
Chelsea have now collected only two wins in their last 17 Premier League games while Mauricio Pochettino is now winless in his last 14 away games in the Premier League – a streak that stretches back to February 2019 while still at Tottenham Hotspurs.
Bournemouth also stay winless this season and they now have three points in their five games.
Chelsea will host Aston Villa next while Bournemouth will be away to Brighton and Hove Albion.
