Although Napoli owner Aulerio de Laurentiis keeps insisting publicly that star striker Victor Osimhen is not for sale, especially this summer, top clubs are weighing in on how they can secure his signature and how much they will have to cough out.
One such club is Premier League side, Chelsea. Chelsea have struggled to get goals this season, something that has pushed them as far as the bottom half of the table.
Having scored only 34 goals, Chelsea feel Osimhen is the solution for such a woeful goal tally and are prepared to offer Italian Seria A champions Napoli an enticing package that will let them give up the Nigeria international.
Soccer Scoop understands that Chelsea value Osimhen in the region of £130 million and will be glad to add Christian Pulisic to that deal.
It has been reported that Napoli would be interested in adding Pulisic to their squad for next season and the 24-year-old American would be more than glad to move so he can get more playing time.
Chelsea could face competition from Manchester United who will also look for a striker in the summer transfer window and have the funds to go toe-to-toe with the London club for Osimhen’s signature.
Although the Nigerian is currently tight-lipped about his future, which is understandable since he is still contracted with Napoli until 2025, he asked his national teammate Alex Iwobi over a month ago about life in England, which signalled he could fancy a move there sometime in the future.
Whether that is near or far, is yet to be seen.
