Arsenal are set to face competition from Chelsea after their London rivals showed interest in the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Gunners had been the sole chasers for the winger valued at £85m, but Chelsea have showed interest and have apparently planned talks with officials from Shakhtar Donetsk over a potential deal for the 21-year-old.
Todd Boehly, the Chelsea owner is in the English capital awaiting the arrival of Shakhtar officials for negotiations.
Nonetheless, Arsenal are still locked in talks with Shakhtar, and are prepared to part with a fee closer to the Ukrainian’s valuation.
The youngster wants a move to the Emirates, but Shakhtar are apparently using Anthony’s fee of £86 as a basis for their negations.
The belief in the Ukrainian’s club is that Mudryk is better than Antony who Manchester United paid that money for from Ajax.
