Spanish giants Real Madrid have confirmed midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has signed a new contract with the club until June 2029.
The 20-year old now becomes the latest youngster to extend his contract after Vinicius Junior (2027), Rodrygo (2028) and Eder Militao (2028) all signing contract extensions.
Camavinga will receive a significant wage rise with the new deal, and his release clause has also been increased to €1b, which should ensure his long-term future in the Spanish capital.
The French midfielder has been at Real Madrid since 2021 when he arrived from Rennes as an 18-year old for €31m plus variable add-ons.
In his first two seasons at the club, Camavinga has won six trophies which include a Champions League, Club World Cup, European Super Cup, Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup.
He has been one of Carlo Ancelotti’s most dependable players. His versatility and reliability have seen him become a meme in Spain where he is heralded as a hero for being able to undertake any task required of him.
The 20-year old has so far featured in 114 games for the Los Blacos and scored two goals. He has appeared 14 times for the record Champions League winners this season.
Following his works at Madrid, he was shortlisted for the Golden Boy Award in 2021 and 2022, and for the Kopa Trophy in 2022 and 2023.
Camavinga and his Real Madrid side will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Sporting Braga in the UEFA Champions League game.
The Los Blacos sit top of Group C with a maximum nine points garnered in their first three group games.
