Manchester United will return to action on Wednesday as they play host to West Ham at Old Trafford in the 5th round of the FA Cup.
Having endured a six-year wait for silverware, the Old Trafford outfit finally got something to smile about thanks to their 2-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday that landed them the Carabao Cup.
Man United have played a reasonable number of games lately, and it will be understandable if they come out fatigued. This however, is not the time to allow fatigue come in play if they want to remain in contention for four trophies.
If fatigued, they will have to shade that off if they’re to go past a stubborn West Ham who are fresh from demolishing Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the Premier League.
West Ham had Danny Ings Score twice as they convincingly saw off Forest. Michail Antonio and Declan Rice were also on the score sheet in that game.
David Moyes, Sir Alex Ferguson’s immediate successor at Man United still has a thing or two to prove to the Red Devils as his United tenure didn’t go well. He will hope his boys produce the kind of display they showed against Forest or even better.
Given their current form, Erik Ten Hag’s men should be able to handle Moyes’ charges. Ten Hag’s team remain the only English team still in contention for a quadruple.
