Schalke kick off match day 28 when they host Hertha Berlin on Friday, looking to get a win against their fellow relegation candidates.
With 27 games gone, the two sides are separated by just a single point at the bottom of the Bundesliga log. Schalke are rooted to the bottom with 21 points while Hertha are second last with 22 points.
A win this weekend would be of huge important to either sides as it could move them out of the automatic relegation spots. The two sides have identical results in the last five games – each winning once, drawing twice and losing the other two.
This season, Schalke (13 points) has the worst home record while Hertha with 5 points has the worst away form of all the teams in the Bundesliga.
The first leg tie between these two sides ended in a 2-1 Hertha victory at the Olympia Stadium in Berlin.
In the other games, both the top two teams will be in action on Saturday. Bayern will host Hoffenheim while Dortmund will travel to Stuttgart.
Bayern lead the way with 58 points, two above Dortmund in second with seven games left to play.
RB Leipzig will also be out to consolidate their place in the top four with victory over lowly Augsburg on Saturday.
While Union Berlin who sit third on the log will hope to keep up with the top two on Sunday as they hosts a tricky VfL Bochum side who are battling relegation.
