England goalkeeper Dean Henderson has completed his £20 million move to Crystal Palace from Manchester United.
The 26-year old has put pen to paper on a five-year employment contract at the Selhurst Park side.
This brings an end to Henderson’s 12 years stay at Manchester United where he once challenged for a number one spot and spent six years on loan.
Henderson will cost Palace an initial £15m with a further £5m in add-ons and he will compete with Sam Johnstone for the position in Roy Hodgson’s team.
“I’m absolutely delighted and buzzing to be here. I can’t wait to get started.” Henderson said on confirmation.
“This club has got great fans and has a lot of top players who are hungry to succeed. There’s something being built here, and I really want to be a part of it.”
He spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest where he featured in 20 games in all competitions and kept six clean sheets.
The goalkeeper was part of the England squad that won the Under-20 World Cup in Slovakia in June 2017. He made his senior debut in a 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland in November 2020.
He becomes Palace’s third addition this window after Jefferson Lerma and Matheus França were captured from Bournemouth and Flamengo respectively.
