Italian Serie A side Inter Milan have completed the signing of French winger Marcus Thuram from German Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.
Thuram declined to renew his contract with Monchengladbach and ran it down until it expired at the end of last season to become a free agent.
The 25-year-old is the son of French World Winner Lilian Thuram, who also played for Juventus and Barcelona in the 90s and 2000s.
Marcus Thuram joined Monchengladbach in 2019 from Ligue 1 side Guingamp and went on to make 134 appearances and scored 44 goals in all competitions.
Since making his senior debut for Les Bleus against Finland in November 2020, Thuram has represented France on 10 occasions including the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Before deciding to join Inter Milan, Thuram was linked with a host of top European clubs since it became clear that he would be free to leave at the end of the season.
Thuram has signed a five-year contract with Inter Milan that will keep him in the Italian capital until June 2028, unless otherwise.
He joins an Inter Milan side that finished 3rd in the Italian Serie A last season and runners-up to Manchester City in the Champions League.
The club have already lost veteran striker Edin Dzeko to Fenerbahçe and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing their goalkeeper, Andre Onana.
