Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has admitted he enjoys watching Premier League champions Manchester City play football.
Ten Hag said this with just a day to the Red Devils’ clash with the Citizens on Saturday in the FA Cup final.
“It’s really enjoyable to watch Manchester City,” Ten Hag told Dion Dublin during the BBC One show Football Focus
“But we have to stop them and we have to make it our game. We have proved we can beat them, but we have to play to our level. If we have belief, anything is possible.”
“On Saturday we will fight each other. It’s a big game an FA Cup final – huge. Any game with Manchester United and Manchester City is huge, but when it’s a final it’s special, of course.
“I think that the rivalry us logical and normal on both sides and you have to respect each other.
“As a child you dream… We want to win that cup and we know it’s going to be tough because you play – probably – against the best team in the world at this moment in time.”
Manchester City and United will meet each other for the first time ever in an FA Cup final, and City will want to make history as they want to win the treble for the first time in their history.
The Red Devils have won the FA Cup 12 times – with the last in 2016 while the Citizens have won It only six times in their history.
The winner of this competition always represents England in the UEFA Europa League and secures a place in the FA Community Shield.
