Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi says playing in the semi-final of the FA Cup is such a honour for his side
The manager made this comment while addressing the media during his pre-match press conference on Saturday.
Albion face Manchester United on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium for a place in the final of English’s historical competition.
” We are excited to play at Wembley, its an honor and we are focused only on the game,” De Zerbi said.
” We want to play with our DNA and I have no doubt that we can show our quality and play a great game in terms of our Mentality.”
The Seagulls are one win from reaching the final of the FA CUP for the first time since 1983 and the Brighton head coach is confident his side are able to win.
” I don’t want to speak about pressure because it’s not pressure. There will be alot of our fans there in a great stadium with a great atmosphere. We are able to win, maybe we can lose, but for sure we can compete with them in one game.
” Manchester United are one of the best teams in UK so if you want to improve and become better, you have to play this type of game.”
This is the second time United will be at Wembley this season after having beaten Newcastle there in the Carabao final in February.
Sunday’s game is also the second time the two sides will be meeting each other this season. Brighton beat Man United 2-1 at Old Trafford in their only other meeting in August.
A European qualification slot is always at stake for any team that wins the FA CUP.
