After the severity of his injury and the timeline for recovery confirmed, Neymar Jr. has revealed he is in deep physical and emotional pain.
The Al Hilal forward was stretched off during Brazil’s 2-0 loss to Uruguay in the 2026 FIFA World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifiers.
According to Al Hilal, the club he joined in the summer from PSG, Neymar tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and Meniscus, and will require surgery.
After this was confirmed, Neymar went to his Instagram to confirm how deeply he is in emotional and physical pain now.
“It’s a very sad moment, the worst. I know I’m strong, but this time I’m going to need my friends (family and friends) even more.” Neymar wrote.
” It’s not easy to go through injury and surgery, imagine going through it all again after 4 months of recovery. I have faith, too much… But I place the strength in God’s hands so that he can renew mine. Thank you for the messages of support and affection,🙏❤️” he added.
He is expected to be out of action for 7-9 months and has a slim chance of playing in the 2024 Copa America.
This is a second serious injury that Neymar has suffered this year. In February while still at PSG, he suffered a season-ending injury which kept him out for four months.
