Bayern Munich return to action this weekend in the Bundesliga aiming to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
The Bavarians host 15th placed Bochum- the side they thrashed 7-0 earlier in the season. That result was a replica of last season when they beat the Ruhrstadion outfit by a similar scoreline.
Although Bochum staged a sweet revenge hammering the record-time league winners 4-2 in the reverse fixture, Bayern will be confident to see this .
Going into this game, deadline day loan signing from Manchester City Joao Cancelo is expected to make his full home debut following his Cameo in the DFB Pokal Cup round of 16 against Mainz.
The defender made an assist as Bayern ran riots 4-0 in that game. The Portuguese also registered an assist in Bayern’s 4-2 win over Wolfsburg last weekend.
Bayern will be without Joshua Kimmich who received a red card and became the 100th Bavarian player to get a red card in top flight.
Bochum were 5-2 winners over Hoffeheim over the weekend, a victory that moved them above the relegation zone. But prior to that game, they, on the road fell prey to Mainz by the same score.
They will hope to improve on their away record as they have lost 9 out of 10. Their only away victory this season came against Augusburg on match day 15.
