Man City defender Kyle Walker has said that the the last games of the season is the time when big players step up to help their teams win trophies.
The right back said this ahead of Man City’s crucial Premier League game against West ham at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
“Now this is crunch time. This is the time that big players step up for big occasions and we go and get the victories that we need to get to our ultimate goal.” Walker told City’s Media.
Sitting on top of the Premier League with six games to go, Man City are still on course of wining a treble this season as they still in Champions League, where they will play Real Madrid in semi final plus they also have an FA Cup final showdown with Manchester United.
In the Premier League, they are a point above an Arsenal side who have played a game more.
Despite being on top, Walker says him and other Man City players must keep up with good form in order to end the season with major trophies.
“The form has come at a really good time, but we need to make sure we keep this up and continue.
“It’s important we rest, recover, eat well, sleep well and move onto Westham.”
Pep Guardiola is aiming to help Manchester City win their third consecutive Premier League title, having won the 2020/21 and 2021/22 titles.
