Matchday four returns this weekend and will round off the final club matches before players leave for international duty.
Real Madrid, the only La Liga club still on a perfect record after winning three out of three, will host Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos lost forward Vinicius Jr to injury during the 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo last week and he is set to be sidelined for over a month.
However, Real Madrid have enough squad depth to cover for any absentees. They face a Getafe side that won their last match with a similar scoreline and held Barcelona to a goalless draw in the opening game of the season. Getafe will hope to inflict the same damage to Real Madrid this weekend.
Barcelona, who drew their first match of the season are playing catch-up to leaders and rivals Real Madrid following their two wins. That said, they won’t want to drop any points and will have that in mind when they visit Osasuna at El Sadar Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Catalan giants are fourth on the table, level on points with Atletico Madrid and Girona in second and third respectively. Osasuna are seventh on the table and have the chance to overtake Barcelona if they beat them.
Atletico Madrid, who thrashed Rayo Vallecano 7-0 under the floodlights on Monday entertain bottom-of-the-table Sevilla on Sunday.
If Atletico play as great as they did on Monday, Sevilla could be headed for their worst start of the season in their history by losing four opening matches. Otherwise, they need to get something out of this difficult fixture.
