Liverpool midfielder Luiz Diaz is currently undergoing what could likely be the worst moment of his life.
The midfielder’s parents Luis Manuel Díaz and Cilenis Marulanda were on Saturday kidnapped at gunpoint from a gas station in his native city of Barracas, Colombia.
While the authorities managed to rescue his mother, his father is still missing! The unfortunate news is being handled as a matter of national importance as the Colombian president Gustova Pedro confirmed the rescue of Diaz’s mother.
With the distressing news, Diaz is unlikely to feature for Liverpool who face Nottingham Forest later today.
