Erling Haaland’s stellar form has made him the hottest prospect in the football world currently as he is attracting the attention of some of the top clubs in Europe among which Real Madrid seem the most determined to pursue the Norwegian.
The Los Blancos are planning to storm the Citizens in the summer in an attempt to lure the Norwegian to the Santiago Bernabeu as reported by The Sun.
The Sun reports that City have counter acted by offering the 22-year-old a better deal in which he will earn 29.5 million Euros per season. This offer would make Haaland the most highly paid player in the English Premier League.
Haaland’s teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United’s custodian David De Gea are currently the joint highest paid witch each earning 22.1 million per season, but City are willing to improve on that with an aim of keeping Madrid away.
Haaland is contracted at Manchester City until 2027, but his bosses hope to persuade him with the big pay rise to keep him at the club beyond that year.
Real Madrid though can never be ridden off when they have the admiration for any player.
