Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was named the Premier League Manager of the Season for his outstanding achievements during the campaign.
Guardiola led Manchester City to their third consecutive Premier League title and fifth in six seasons, finishing ahead of Arsenal and Newcastle United. He also guided his team to the FA Cup final, where they will face Manchester United on Saturday, June 3.
If they win, they will have a chance to complete a historic treble when they play Inter Milan in the Champions League final on Saturday, June 10.
Guardiola is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the world and has transformed Manchester City into a dominant force in English and European football.
He has won 10 major trophies with Manchester City since joining them in 2016, including four League Cups and two Community Shields. He also won titles with Barcelona and Bayern Munich in his illustrious career.
Guardiola thanked his fellow managers for their recognition and praised his players and staff for their hard work and dedication.
He said: “I would like to thank everyone involved in me being named LMA Manager of the Year. It is a great honour to receive this award from my colleagues and peers. I share this award with my players, who have been amazing throughout the season, and with my staff, who have supported me every day.”
