Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta for the signing of forward Rasmus Hojlund in a deal worth €75million plus €10million in add-ons.
Manchester United agreed preliminary personal terms with Hojlund early this month and he is set to sign a five-year deal with the option of a further year.
The Italian Serie A side had wanted €100m for the 20-year-old and Manchester United made a verbal offer of €50m plus €10m in add-ons on Wednesday this week which was rejected.
Atalanta also rejected Manchester United’s offer of money plus players for Hojlund earlier this month, insisting on a straight cash arrangement, and the continued discussions have now borne fruit.
The Denmark international scored nine goals in 32 Serie A matches last season, and five goals in two Euro qualifying matches in March, including a hat-trick against Finland. He started 20 league matches.
Hojlund will be the third player to join Manchester United this summer following the arrivals of Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Ajax Amsterdam.
