Manchester United have confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be out for several weeks after having sustained an hamstring injury during the closing stages of their Saturday’s Premier League defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.
The right-back came on as a substitute in the 85th minute as the Red Devils lost for the first time in 21 games.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during the closing stages of Saturday’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion,” Read part of the club statement.
“The right-back came on as an 85th-minute substitute, having started the game on the bench after battling illness during the week.
“Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks.”
It’s expected that Bissaka will be out for at least two weeks, and this is yet again another blow for Erik Ten Hag who already has players sidelined due to injury.
Raphael Varane ( muscle), Luke Shaw ( Muscle), Tyrell Malacia ( muscle), Amas Diallo (Knee), Kobbie Mainoo ( ankle), Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Tom Heaton (calf) are all ruled out through injury.
While Jadon Sancho and Antony are fit, but will not represent the club for the next few weeks due to personal reasons. Antony allegedly domestically assaulted three women, while Sancho was banned from training with United following his social media outbursts.
The Red Devils’ next game will be in the UEFA Champions League when they take on Germany champions Bayern Munich.
