Marcus Rashford has reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United to sign a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.
According to reports, the agreed-upon contract will run for five years, keeping him at the club for five more years until the end of the 2027/28 season.
The 25-year-old England international and his representatives led by Dwaine Maynard have been in talks with Manchester United for months now as his current deal was set to expire on June 30, 2024.
Rashford received more lucrative proposals from teams in England and Europe but turned them down as his primary focus is to stay at United for a long time, where he has always dreamt of winning major honours. He has already won one FA Cup, two League Cups, and one Europa League title.
Rashford was one of the most important players for Ten Hag last season as he scored 30 goals in 56 matches in all competitions which helped Man United win the Carabao Cup, reach the FA Cup final, and qualify for the UEFA Champions League in a fierce top four battle.
Rashford joined the Red Devils aged just seven and worked his way through the academy and has ended up making 359 senior appearances for the club and scoring an impressive 123 goals.
