Fresh from a 5-0 aggregate win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semifinal in mid week, Manchester United will be back in action on Saturday for a crunch tie against Crystal palace in the Premier League.
The Red Devils who have won each of their last 12 games at Old Trafford aim to maintain their terrific record at home. They will be hoping to collect maximum points from Patrick viera’s men who just three weeks ago made sure to deny Man United all the three points.
Man United has majorly been reliant on the terrific form of Marcus Rashford for goals. The 25-year-old will go into tomorrow’s game more revamped after being crowned the Premier League Player of the month of January. He will hope to continue with his devasting form that has seen him score 9 league goals this season.
The academy product is expected to spearhead the attack tomorrow alongside Antony Martial and the Brazilian winger Antony while midfield architect Bruno Fernandez will operate behind the front three. The Brazilian duo of Casemiro and Fred should anchor the midfield, and at the back, the partnership of Lisandro Martinez and Rafael Varane should be deployed with Luke Shaw and Wan Bissaka operating on the left and right flanks respectively.
Ten Hag can decide to call upon Jadon Sancho who impressed in midweek on his return from injury. Wout Weghorst is another option upfront for Ten Hag. The Dutch striker improves the team’s play by holding up play and distributes the ball well, and with his arial prowess, he is a threat for any opposition.
Crystal Palace will hope to frustrate Man United as they did at Selhurst Park. It was all thanks to Michael Olise’s last minute goal that earned the Eagles a last minute point. The physical part of their game makes it difficult for their opponents but Manchester united should be able to overcome that.
