Mauricio Pochettino insists his Chelsea side deserved more from their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on Sunday evening.
After being reduced to 10-men, The Blues fell 1-0 to Villa, consequently registering their third loss of the season.
Before the red card, Chelsea was the better side of the game and they had really good chances to break the deadlock.
Nicholas Jackson and Raheem Sterling failed to beat Emiliano Martinez one-on-one while Enzo Fernandez skied his effort wide after a nice pass from Gusto.
Ollie Watkins- on the second attempt scored that sole goal from a tight angle after his initial shot had been blocked by Levi Colwill to bounce back to him.
“First half I think we deserved more. Second half we started on top of them but after red card the game changes,” Pochettino said after the game.
“We were a little bit unlucky. We block their shot and then it goes in. That happened, we need to accept the reality, but it was a little bit unlucky.”
The result means Chelsea fall to the 14th position on the log with only five points after six games.
This is their worst ever start to a top-flight season since 1978-79, when they were relegated.
They will take on Brighton and Hove Albion next in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
