Reports of Neymar Jr’s exit from Paris Sant-Germain (PSG) in the summer came out last week and they are slowly gaining momentum.
The latest we have gathered is that the Brazilian attacker is only open to joining Manchester United, and no other club, if he is to leave PSG.
According to reports from French sports outlet Foot Mercato, a plethora of other clubs have shown interest in securing the services of Neymar next season including Chelsea, Newcastle, and Manchester City, but the 31-year-old has turned a blind eye to all of them, save for Manchester United.
Chelsea’s finish in the bottom half of the league and Newcastle’s lack of a “big name” are thought to be some of the reasons why Neymar doesn’t want to join them, while Manchester City look like a complete team currently that would not guarantee him a starting position.
Neymar still has four years on his contract with PSG, but he was attacked by a swarm of fans outside his home in Paris that directed chants towards him to leave their club. That is believed to be the reason why he would gladly welcome the transfer to Premier League giants Manchester United.
Manchester United have not yet fully drawn their transfer plan since they are currently involved in a takeover process but they will fully go ahead with their transfer business as soon as the takeover is complete.
