With the Premier League title already decided, all eyes will be on the relegation battle on the final day as two teams will be joining Southampton in the Championship at the end of the business this season.
History could be made on Sunday as two of Everton, Leicester and Leeds will go down. The three teams are just separated by two points ahead of their last games. Everton has been one of the ever-present Premier League teams while Leicester won the title just six years ago.
But, Everton have the destiny in their own hands as they need to just beat Bournemouth at home to be able to play Premier League football next season regardless of the results elsewhere.
They face Bournemouth, who have nothing much to fight for as they already secured their safety a few weeks ago.
The Toffes sit 17th on the log with 33 points in 37 games – two points ahead of both Leicester and Leeds.
After drawing with Newcastle 0-0, Leicester’s fate in the Premier League isn’t in their own hands. They must beat West Ham at King Power Stadium and then hope Everton either draw or lose.
Just like Leicester, Leeds also have to win in order to stand any chance of avoiding relegation.
They are also reliant on Leicester and Everton results. Only a Leicester draw/loss and Everton loss can save Sam Allardyce’s side from relegation.
If the Toffes draw, then Leeds would need to beat Tottenham by three clear goals to ensure survival.
But Leed’s form under Allardyce hasn’t been impressive as they have claimed just one point from their three games and will need a huge miracle to win against Spurs, who are also in the fight to secure a European spot for next season.
Of the three sides, Leicester have been relegated most in their history (3), followed by Everton and Leeds ( both on two)
