Chelsea’s Interim boss Frank Lampard will continue his search for a win since his return as his side faces Brentford FC On Wednesday.
Lampard, who took over as caretaker manager in March after the departure of Graham Potter, has overseen four losses in his first four games in all competitions.
He lost to Wolves 1-0 in his first game back before losing to Madrid 2-0 both home and away in the Champions League. He also lost 2-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion in the club’s last Premier League game.
Already out of Europe, Chelsea currently sits 11th in the Premier League – 20 points behind the top four with just seven games left to play.
On Wednesday, they face a Brentford side who are also desperate for a victory. They are winless in six league game and currently sit 10th on the log with 44 points in 32 games.
Last weekend, they drew 1-all at home against Aston Villa despite having taken the lead through Ivan Toney’s 19th league goal.
They are still on course for their highest-ever Premier League finish, though and will hope to beat Chelsea, who sit a position below them inorder to consolidate their spot on the log.
But Chelsea has a good record against the Bees in the last couple of seasons. The Blues have managed six win in their last eight home meetings against Brentford.
The earlier meeting between the two sides this season, though ending a goalless stalemate.
