After three years at Milan, Brahim Diaz has returned to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
This was confirmed by the Santiago Bernabo club on Saturday afternoon in an official statement released on their website after the forward had finished extending his contract until June 2027.
The Spaniard will be unveiled on June 13 at a press conference at Ciudad Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid C. F. would like to announce that on Tuesday 13 June, at 12pm (CET) at Real Madrid City, the presentation will take place of Brahim Díaz, who returns to play for our club until 30 June 2027, following his three-season loan spell at AC Milan.” read part of the statement.
Diaz, who is a former Manchester City Academy player joined Real Madrid in 2019 but has spent the last three season on loan with the Rossoneri.
During his three-year spell at the Stadio Meazza club, he has found the back of net 18 times in 124 games in all competitions.
He also played a key role in helping Milan win the Seria A title in 202 and also helped them reach the UEFA Champions League semis this season.
Before he left Madrid for Milan in 2020, he had already won 1 LaLiga title and 1 Spanish Super Cup with the Los Blancos.
The 23-year old is now expected to fill the void left by the already departed Eden Hazard and Marcos Asensio.
