Algerian forward Riyad Mahrez has completed his move from Manchester City to Saudi Arabia side Al-Ahli.
The 32-year old, who had two years left on his City contact joins the Saudi Pro League giants in a deal worth up to £30m.
“To play for Manchester City has been an honour and privilege,” said Mahrez in his farewell message.
“I came to City to win trophies and enjoy my football and I achieved all that and so much more.
“I have had five unforgettable years with this football club, working with unbelievable players, fantastic supporters, and the best manager in the world.
“I’ve made a lifetime of wonderful memories and the manner of our Premier League title wins and the battles we’ve had with Liverpool and, last year, Arsenal, underlined our collective desire and mentality to be the best.
“Manchester City will forever be a huge and happy part of my life.” He concluded.
Last season, Mahrez featured in 47 games in all competitions, and scored 15 goals as City won the historical treble.
He hit double figures for goals in all his five seasons at Etihad stadium, with 24 netted in the 2021/22 being his highest.
With City, he won 11 major trophies which include four Premier Leagues, two FA cups, three Carabao Cups and One Champions League.
The former Leicester City player now becomes the latest big-name player to move to Saudi Arabia from Europe this window after the likes of Karim Benzema, Ngolo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Never, Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino and Mateo Brozovic.
