According to Thomas Tuchel, Harry Kane has had an ‘immediate impact’ on Bayern Munich’s dressing room atmosphere since he arrived at Bayern.
The German tactician says the former Tottenham striker will make his first start for the German champions on Friday against Werder Bremen.
He made his first appearance as a Bayern player on Saturday when he came on as a 64-minute substitute in his new club’s 3-0 loss to RB Liepzig in the German Super Cup.
The England captain after that game indicated that he might need time to adapt to his new team’s style, but despite that, Tuchel has stated that Kane will start Friday’s game.
“He will start tomorrow as long as nothing happens today.” Said Tuchel
“His presence has an extremely positive influence on all of us. He gives 100% in every training session and it’s entertaining watching him. We have already done a few finishing drills during which he was able to demonstrate his quality – that was impressive.
“My first impressions of Harry are fantastic. He is a top professional, the quality is outstanding and he’s a fantastic human being, he is very open, he’s first on the training pitch, he is open in the dressing room.
“I think he has an immediate impact in the dressing room with his personality, with his approach to football, his love for the game, and you feel it every day. You feel it in every little exercise.”
Tuchel will hope Kane scores as many goals as he scored for Spurs for the past 10 years.
He left Spurs as their all-time highest goalscorer and is currently the second-highest Premier League all-time goalscorer with 213 goals in 317 games.
Despite winning their 11th Bundesliga trophy last season, Bayern struggled throughout the season and needed Borussia Dortmund final day slip to win the league.
