Tottenham Hotspur have accepted Bayern Munich’s bid for Harry Kane, according to The Athletic.
Reports indicate that the bid is in excess of €100 million and it is now upon Kane to decide whether to make the move or not.
The England international, who has been the subject of a move away from Tottenham this summer, wanted the situation resolved before Tottenham’s first match of the 20223/24 season.
A couple of months ago, Kane said in an interview with Sky Sports that breaking the English Premier League all-time top scorer record held by compatriot Alan Shearer would be a dream come true for him, something that signalled he would like to stay in England.
However, things changed when Manchester United went mute over signing the 30-year-old which encouraged Bayern Munich to enter the talks that have taken almost a month.
Kane is the all-time top scorer for Tottenham Hotspur with 280 goals in all competitions but has no silverware to show for it, and this is where Bayern Munich come in.
The German club, who are the most successful in German football, guarantee Kane at least a trophy every season if the past 12 seasons are to go by. They are also in search of a fox in the box, and Kane fits that bill perfectly.
Kane’s contract with Tottenham expires in 12 months and talks over a new one have not progressed at all so the club has decided to cash in on him, instead of leaving things to chance and risking losing him for free at the end of next season.
