Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of winger Manor Solomon on a free transfer, the club has announced.
The 23-year old, who spent last season on loan at Fulham, has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the London side.
“I’m so delighted and excited to be joining this fantastic football club. It’s truly an honour to be here and I can’t wait to get started. To dare is to do!” Solomon posted on social media after completing the move to London.
Solomon has been a free agent since his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk was suspended when FIFA ammended Annex 7 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The change allows all foreigners employed in either Russia or Ukraine to unilaterally suspend their contracts if they wished to leave the countries.
Last season, Solomon made 24 appearances for Fulham and scored five goals.
He is also already capped 35 times with the Israel national team and has five goals for Israel.
He becomes the latest player to join Spurs after goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and James Madison. Loan deals of Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro have also been made permanent by the club.
Spurs will not play in Europe this fourthcoming season after having finished eighth on the log last term.
They may not retain their star player, Harry Kane, who is being eyed by Bayern Munich.
