Brighton and Hove Albion have completed the signing of veteran midfielder James Milner.
Milner joins the Seagulls as a free agent after having run down his contract at Liverpool at the end of last season.
He has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with an option to extend his stay for a further season.
He joins Brighton following eight successful seasons with Liverpool – making 332 appearances and winning seven titles along the way.
Since Milner joined the Reds in 2015 from Man City, He got his hands onto the Community Shield, Super Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League and Champions League.
“I’m very glad to welcome James to Brighton,” said his new head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, following the announcement of Milner’s deal.
“He’s an excellent addition for us and I’m sure he will help to bring us to an even higher level.”
He becomes the second official signing for Brighton this off-season after Joao Pedro was captured from Watford.
Brighton are preparing to feature in the Europa League next season – having ended the 2022/23 season in sixth spot.
