Edin Dzeko has completed a move away from Inter Milan to Fenerbahce on a free transfer, bringing an end to an eight-year stay in Italy.
Dzeko joined AS Roma from Manchester City in 2015 and joined Inter Milan in 2021 for which he played 101 games and scored 31 goals in all competitions, including 14 last season.
He won two Coppa Italia titles with Inter Milan and his last match for the Serie A side was the UEFA Champions League final against winners Manchester City early this month.
The 37-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international has signed a two-year contract with Turkish side Fenerbahce who finished second in the Turkish Super Lig last season but won the Turkish Cup, their first trophy in nine years.
After sealing the move, Dzeko took to his official Instagram account to bid farewell to Inter Milan and thanked them for their support during his stay in the Italian capital.
“Goodbye Inter, it’s been two wonderful years. Beautiful in the field, with the coach and my teammates. And beautiful in the stands,” Dzeko wrote.
He added: “San Siro is always full with incredible support everywhere, for a team capable of reaching the finals in every competition. It has been an amazing journey. We’re parting ways now, but thank you.”
Previously, Dzeko played for Manchester City where he won the Premier League title and Wolfsburg before that, where he won the German Bundesliga.
