Napoli starboy Victor Osimhen says every player’s dream destination is the Premier League, but insists he has all his thoughts and energy invested in his current club.

Osimhen is currently relishing an enviable campaign in the Serie A. The Nigerian has to his name 19 league goals thus far, and is on an eight-game scoring run.

His form has attracted interests from some of the Big European teams with Manchester United reported to be among those.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera, the 24-year-old said; “I think it is an ambition of all players. And who knows, maybe one day.” When asked if he’d fancy to play in England one day.

“Right now, I can assure you that it hasn’t even crossed my mind. It would distract me from what has been a beautiful season. Only Napoli. That’s all.” Osimhen emphasized on his commitment to the Partenopei.

Osimhen is only three games away from equalling Gabriel Batistuta’s record of 11 games in which he scored in each. Should he achieve that in Napoli’s next three games, he will have equalled the record that was set in the 1994-95 season.

The Nigerian is on course to leading Napoli to a first Serie A title since Diego Maradona’s season of 1989-90. This would be Napoli’s third Scudetto in their history. The first one came in the 1986-87 season.

Napoli are currently top of the table with 65 points, that’s 18 clear of second placed inter Milan.
