With five games to go, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arterta says his side can still win the Premier League this season despite losing ground to Manchester City.

The Spanish tactician made this comment while addressing the media during his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea on Tuesday.

“We can still achieve the Premier League because there are five games to go and there are a lot of things that are still going to happen,” Arterta said.

“What we have to do is forget about what happened last week, learn from it and move on to the next game at home with our people for a London derby and put things right.”

Having lost 4-1 to Man City last week, the Gunners currently sit second on the Premier League with 75 points garnered in 33 games.

They could return to the top of the log on Tuesday evening if they manage to beat Chelsea at Emirates Stadium.

The Blues are currently enduring one of their poorest seasons ever in the Premier League as they sit 12th on the log with just 39 points in 32 games.

Before dropping to second place on Sunday, Arsenal had led the Premier League table for 247 days.
