Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn’t kicked a ball this season due to a knee operation he underwent in May last year that has kept him on the sidelines.
Now, after close to nine months out, Ibrahimovic is on his way back. The larger than life athlete recently returned to training with his AC Milan club who are enduring a horrible campaign in the Italian Serie A.
His return will definitely be a huge boast to Stefano Pioli’s team and trust the man to know exactly that.
As written by Football Italia, the 41-year-old is quoted by Sport Mediaset saying: “I’m still god, I’m still number 1. Now I’m back and the music changes. I have so much desire, I want to do so many things. What I lost in these seven or eight months. I lost time.”
Ibrahimovic gave his verdict on his Milan team who have lost three league games in a succession including the Milan derby. He is adamant he will rescue the Rossoneri out of their nightmare.
“Team in crisis? I’m not worried, these are normal moments within a season. Now we have to talk little and prove our worth on the pitch.
“I’m good, I’m very good! I’m back in the squad and I feel free, free on and off the pitch. It means I’m fine.
“In this period I did everything to help coach, staff and club from outside.”
AC Milan who are the Serie A defending champions haven’t won a game in their last five matches. They have conceded 30 goals thus far, the most by the league’s top eight, and currently sit 6th in the table standings with 38 points.
