The 2023/24 UEFA Champions League group stage draw was held on Thursday evening at Grimaldi Forum event in Monaco, and it did not disappoint.
Manchester United got paired with Bayern Munich in group A, Napoli was handed Real Madrid while Newcastle, who are returning to Europe for the first time in 20 years got placed in arguably a ‘group of death’ with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.
Holders Manchester City are pitted in group G with RB Leipzig (whom they will be facing for a third season in a row in the group stages), Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys.
For Arsenal, they are in group B with Europa Champions Sevilla, PSV Eindhoven ( whom they played last year in the Europa League group stages ) and Lens.
Meanwhile Spanish champions Barcelona are in group H With Porto, Shakhtar Donestk and Antwerp
The first match day of these group stage games will happen between 19–20 September while the last games of the groups are scheduled for 12–13 December 2023.
The final for the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League will be held at Wembley on June 1 next year.
Madrid are the record winners of this prestigious European competition after having won it 14 times.
