Chelsea was held to a two all draw by Everton following a last minute equaliser by substitute Simms Ellis Reco to end the hosts run of three wins in a succession in all competitions.

The game kicked off with Chelsea playing on the front foot, and the first chance fell to Enzo Fernandez whose shot was blocked by defender Dwight McNeil before Alex Iwobi cleared it out for a corner kick.

Mateo Kovacic attempted a first time effort which went off target following a defensive header from Michael Kean.

Chelsea continued to surge upfront but Kai Havertz fired a low shot which Jordan Pickford easily collected to keep the Blues at bay.

Joao Felix then dispossessed Tarkowski, but he appeared to be fouled though the referee waved play on, and the Portuguese could only shoot direct to Pickford for an easy save -another chance wasted as halftime ended goalless.

After resumption, the Portuguese international was on the mark when he broke the deadlock following a first time cut back cross from Ben Chilwell which was blocked but, Felix pounced on it to fire past Pickford at the far post in the 52 minute.

The Blues almost doubled the lead two minutes later, but Christian Pulisic’s goal was disallowed for an offside in the build-up play.

The visitors equalised in the 68th minute following a glancing header from Abdoulaye Doucoure who scored from close range after a corner kick delivery from the right found him unmarked.

Chelsea got their second when Reece James got tripped in the forbidden area. The referee pointed at the spot, and Kai Havertz made no mistake from the spot to restore the lead in the 74th minute.

Chelsea thought they had done enough to claim the three points, but Everton equalized in the dying minutes .It was Substitute Simms who grabbed the all important goal to salvage a point for Sean Dyche’s team.

The game ended 2-2 and Chelsea remain in the 10 the place while Everton also remain in 15th place on the table standings.
